Mtech-PhD course admission list out

The list for the first batch of the University of Pune’s (UoP) integrated Mtech-Phd course,which was supposed to be out on August 30,was announced on Thursday. The UoP had said that the students intake for the course will be 60. However,the list released by the UoP has only 18 students. NIIT Ltd announces scholarships

NIIT Limited announced scholarships on the new GNIIT programme – India’s first Cloud Campus. This programme can be pursued anywhere anytime,by leveraging the cloud learning methodology. The first NIIT Cloud Scholarship Test will be conducted on Sunday in Delhi,Mumbai,Kolkata,Chennai,Bengaluru,Hyderabad and Pune. Through this initiative,students based outside these cities can avail for scholarships on the new GNIIT programmes through the Cloud Campus,GNIIT,GNIIT for Engineering students. The Scholarship programme rewards fee waivers to meritorious students.

Sweden India Nobel Memorial quiz from September 17

Inter-Collegiate Quiz, The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz,will be held at Pravara Centre for Management Research & Development on September 17. The event will bring together quizzers from across reputed Pune colleges and technical Institutes. The winners will represent the city in grand finale at IIT,New Delhi. The theme of the quiz is -The Nobel.

Workshop on embedded systems organised

Oasis Education,a division of Oasis Technologies Pvt. Ltd.,recently conducted a free workshop in Embedded Systems at Dhole Patil College of Engineering,Pune for the teaching staff of various engineering colleges under the University of Pune (UoP). The workshop was attended by 70 participants representing more than 50 engineering colleges. The UoP recently introduced Embedded Linux in their curriculum for Electronics and Telecom (E&TC) Engineering students.
