Diwali 2011

The utsav menu at the Rajdhani outlets at Kalyani Nagar and J M Road have delicious dishes like Dal Bati Churma,Amiri Khaman,Surti Undhiyu,Bajra Roti,Malai Chum Chum,Green Gujarat,Jawar Rotla,Rabdi Malpuwa,Surti Plaza,Tawa Undiyu,Green Peas Puri,Sitafal Basundi,Shahi Barfi Dholka,and Puran Poli on offer. The festival is till October 28,between 12 noon and 3 pm and 7 and 11 pm.

This Diwali,one can ring in the good cheer with the delicious ‘Scoop of Nature’ ice-cream. At Cafe Chokolade,this tub of ice-cream is made from organically grown fruits and is preservative free. Snugly packed in dry ice and carefully wrapped in attractive packaging,Scoop of Nature ice cream is available in ½ kg and 1 kg packs and will last in its frozen state for 30 hours.

Celebrate in style

Bold cuts and colours,chic designs,and sensuous drapes have been blended into a special Diwali collection at PreetiK Design Studio. Designer Preeti Kamdar has designed the collection,titled ‘The Anniversary Week’,for Diwali buyers. It includes a mix of stylish salwaar kameezes,elegant sarees in cottons and silks,Kamdar’s signature hand block prints along with cutwork and embroidery. The fabrics include chiffon,georgette and supernets. The line is up for preview and sale till October 25 at PreetiK Design Studio,Shop No 1,Happy Colony,Dahanukar Circle.

Paint the town red

Now here’s a unique way of celebreating Diwali. A super fun paintball dhamaka has been organised on October 25 by Aventura Outdoors. Groups of friends can gather and have a rollicking time by registering beforehand. The timings are between 12pm to 7pm,so prior booking is advised. The participants will be handed safety gear and 50 paintballs at the venue at Mariplex Mall,Kalyaninagar.
