Nikon India launches 2nd D-SLR zone

Nikon India inaugurated its second D-SLR zone at Niyoshi Park 3 in Aundh on Wednesday. The zone was inaugurated by managing director of Nikon India Hiroshi Takashina. The D-SLR Zone will give customers access to the entire range of Nikon D-SLR cameras along with the complete array of NIKKOR lenses,Nikon accessories,Nikon 1 series,the COOLPIX range of compact cameras and Nikon Sport Optics range. The company has adopted the shop-in-shop retail concept and provides customers the opportunity to experience world-class products before they purchase them. “We see Maharashtra region as a high-growth market and the unveiling of another D-SLR zone in the city will help cater to the growing market. The launch of new D-SLR zone is part of our efforts to provide customers with an interactive and informative shopping experience,” said Takashina.

Racold bags Energy Conservation Award

Racold Thermo Ltd,the water heating products manufacturer based in the city,has bagged the award for the Best Performed Manufacturer on Solar Water Heater Installations in 2011-12,instituted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The award was presented by Minister of New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah, under the UNDP-GEF (United Nations Development Programme-Global Environment Facility) supported project on Solar Water Heaters. The basic objective of the project was to accelerate the growth of solar water heating market by generating market demand,strengthening supply chain,adopting qualitative measures and establishing supportive regulatory environment. Racold received the award as recognition of their contributions to achieve the objective. Mathew Job,managing director,Racold Thermo Ltd. said,“Looking at the current environmental concerns,there is an urgent need of adopting renewable and energy efficient technologies. This award is a recognition given by the Ministry,which encourages us to raise the bar even more in future.”

FIAT inaugurates 1st exclusive workshop in the city

FIAT Group Automobiles India Private Limited (FGAIPL) last week inaugurated its first independent state-of-the-art Millennium Drive Workshop at Dapodi in the city. This is FIAT’s first exclusive workshop in India. The 20,000 sq ft service utility with state-of-the-art equipment is specially designed to give a delightful servicing experience to its customers. The facility was inaugurated by Ravi Bhatia,Head- Business Development,FIAT Group Automobiles India Private Limited and Neelesh Naik,Managing Director,Millennium Drive. Speaking on the occasion,Bhatia said,“ This first exclusive and world-class FIAT workshop is our attempt to provide each of our customers with an unmatched servicing experience. We have been focusing on strategically expanding our network in India and this is yet another step to move closer to customers”.
