Two wrongly arrested let off

Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) S R Bhor released two persons arrested by the Pune rural police for assaulting workers of a poultry farm. The court released Kundalik Dhawle and Bhanudas Dhawle,both residents of Shindewadi village in Haveli taluka. According to police,on July 6,some villagers entered the workers quarters of Nathani poultry farm and assaulted them after their owner failed to return a loan. The court concluded they had been wrongly arrested.

Lawyer wants Singham show for cops

Senior criminal lawyer S K Jain who recently saw Singham in which Ajay Devgn plays an honest and intelligent cop,says he is impressed by the movie. He even mentioned that he would like to sponsor tickets of Singham for the entire Pune police personnel. The movie will definitely be a motivation for the police, he said.

PDLSA Lok Adalat held

The Pune District Legal Services Authority (PDLSA) held a Lok Adalat at Shivajinagar Court on Sunday. Cases pertaining to section 138 IPC (Cheque bounce) and Negotiable Instruments Act were heard by the Lok Adalat panel. The PDLSA,in coordination with A K K New Law Academy,organised a seminar on Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act,1999 recently.
