12 additional public prosecutors transferred
Twelve additional public prosecutors (APP) from Pune city,district and Pimpri court have been transferred as part of the routine transfers by the home department. Rajashree Kadam,Kiran Bendbhar and Shilpa Mahatekar from Pune district court have been transferred to Kayan,Mumbai and Pune railway courts respectively. They will be replaced by Vidya Vibhute from Raigad,Chaitrali Panshikar from Satara and Anil Kumbhar from Palghar. Among others Swati Dandekar have been transferred to Sinnar,Kishwar Mujawar to Mumbai,R D Parmaz to Ichalkaranji,Vijay Kshirsagar to Wadgaon Maval,Ravindra Paril to Karad,Prakash Gaikwad to Mumbai,Dnyaneshwar More to Mumbai,Devendra Sonnis to Gangapur,Santoshkumar Patale to Indapur. APPs who will be joining in Pune are Saida Khan from Satara,Gauri Lakade from Sangola,Ashok Jadhav from Vaijapur,R D Machewar from Parbhani,Pandit Jadhav from Ambejogai and Anand Narkhedkar from Paranda.
German Bakery: 5 panch witnesses examined
Five panch witnesses,four on Friday and one on Saturday,were examined by special public prosecutor Raja Thakare in the German Bakery blast case. They were called to be panch witnesses when splinters were removed from bodies of those injured and dead in the blast. In addition,affidavits of five such panch witnesses were admitted by the defence lawyers A Rehman and Kaynat Ali Shaikh on Saturday without cross-examining them.
Forged ULC order: Three builders released on bail
Three builders,arrested by the CID for allegedly applying for building permission from PMC on the basis of forged ULC order,were released on bail against personal bonds of Rs 25,000 each with one or two solvent sureties. The court has directed builders Harish Prahlad Arora (60) of Koregaon Park,Aslam Abdulla Haji (54) of Wanowrie and Moiz Mansur Poonawala (33) of Gultekdi,tocooperate with the investigating officer,attend the state CID office every Monday between 11am and 1pm till the investigation is completed,and not tamper with evidence. They have also been restrained from visiting their residence and offices for three days to enable the CID to conduct searches.
