City-based game design and VFX training institute Seamedu Animation & Arts will introduce two year-long full-time courses,Game Design and Game Programming in OPENGL,in mid-August for students with C/C++ skills. Rolocule Games will be the knowledge partner for the courses.

The idea for a full-time course had emerged after Rolocule Games founders Rohit Gupta and Anuj Tandon selected three students to work on 3D game projects in December 2009. which now stands completed and their game ready to be published.

Rolocule had published its first sports Squash Game with Apple Apps last year. It claimed that over 1,00,000 people from 70 countries had already downloaded Touch Squash.

Harold Raichur, director,Seamedu Animation and Arts, said,“Today, children and grown-ups are playing games on computers, mobile or the internet. This passion and liking for games can actually be converted into a successful profession as a result of the growth and development in the gaming industry. It is still at a sunrise stage in India and needs to be promoted.”

Gupta said,“The Indian gaming industry is not even remotely close to international gaming industry, either in terms of growth or the quality of games developed. We,at Rolocule Games, feel that it is our moral responsibility to take the Indian gaming industry on the world map,and with our strong technical knowhow and experience in the industry, wish to make an actual “meaningful” contribution in the growth of this industry. The right education will define the future. We are excited about this partnership with Seamedu Animation & Arts.”
