Counselling session for careers in journalism

The Department of Communication and Journalism,University of Pune,has organised a special counseling and orientation session for students interested in mass communication and journalism on June 5 at 4 pm in the department in Ranade Institute,Fergusson College Road.

The Department of Communication and Journalism,University of Pune,has organised a special counseling and orientation session for students interested in mass communication and journalism on June 5 at 4 pm in the department in Ranade Institute,Fergusson College Road.

In this session,teachers will guide students about careers in journalism,the nature and scope of the various courses and preparation for the entrance test.

The admission process for the departments various post-graduate courses in the academic year 2009-10 is already underway. The last date for applying online (www.unipunepgadmissions.com) is June 15. The Common Entrance Test will be conducted on June 28.

The department offers a two-year Masters programme in Communication and Journalism (full time) and two part-time diploma courses.

Classes for one of the part-time courses (Diploma in Journalism-Marathi Medium) are conducted in the morning (8 am to 10 am) and for the other (Diploma in Journalism-English medium) are conducted in the evening (6 pm to 8 pm).
