Wipro Technologies beat Infosys by six wickets in the 2nd inter corporate 20-twenty cricket championship trophy organised by Maharashtra Krida and played over the weekend.
Infosys won the toss elected to bat first. Amar Padhye top-scored with 42 runs and Sanket Karkare offered him good support by scoring 29 runs. The other batsman failed to come good and Infosys set a target of 115 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Kanishk Singh,Amit Sharma and Rahul Khandelwal were the main bowlers for Wipro picking up two wickets each. Saiket S and Anand Desai also bowled well.
Wipro achieved their target with 15 balls and four wickets to spare. Opener Mihir Desai scored 62 runs and gave his team a rollicking start. Amit Sharma scored 16 quick runs and helped his team chase the target in just 17.3 overs. Ravindra Naik bowled well for Infosys by picking up two wickets for his team.
