A culmination of Veena’s creative work,the exhibition gives vision to her individual artistic streak. This is definitely a dream come true moment for Chandran,who got an opportunity this year to learn pottery making technique at one of the best pottery production units in Pondicherry. After seven months of unending hard work and dedication,she has chosen Pune to display her first ceramic creativity (in her own words) by organizing an exhibition called Visions in Clay. From functional items like mugs,jars,vases,bowls,to wall pieces and miniatures,there’s a large,interesting variety of items on display here. “All items are handmade on the potter’s wheel,so it’s all about my hard work,” says Chandran. “These items are eco- friendly,durable and non-toxic. The casseroles I’ve designed can also be used in ovens,” she adds.

Chandran strongly believes that the pieces can replace plastic and help each of us make our own little contribution towards environmental protection. Her pieces show her creativity,her own style of presentation and her very own work of art and that’s what makes her to stand apart from others,according to Chandran. Highly enthusiastic and excited to know people’s reactions to her signature works,Chandran says,“It was my longstanding dream to work in the ceramic industry and here I am,exhibiting my own creativity. I am lucky that I have got a chance to live my dream.” So,if you want a fresh perspective on ceramic,you know where to head.
