Post-Bangalore blast,city placed on high alert
Police in Pune sounded a high alert on Wednesday,following a bomb blast in Bangalore that led to 17 people being injured. DCP (special branch) M B Tambade said the police have made an appeal to citizens to contact the police if they come across suspicious-looking objects at crowded places. We have stepped up bandobast and maximum police personnel have been deployed in the city, Tambade said. Security has also been intensified in Koregaon Park area,Pune railway station,Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati temple and on Lohegaon Airport.
