Four devotees,including two from the city,who had gone to Varanasi from Pune were injured in Tuesdays blast.

Two from city hurt in Varanasi blast

Four devotees,including two from the city,who had gone to Varanasi from Pune were injured in Tuesdays blast. They were part of a 51-member team from Pune and Marathwada,and were supposed to reach back here on Wednesday morning. Two of the injured are residents of Beed. The explosion occurred when 15 members of the team were at the ghat. One of the injured is a woman and her condition is reportedly serious. The team members are expected to arrive in the city on Thursday.

Hitech sound system for Sawai Gandharva fest

An ultra-modern sound system will be used for various performances in the Sawai Gandharva Music Festival,starting on Thursday. Pradeep Mali of Swaranjali Sound Systems that provides sound system for the festival said sound system to be used is a product of Canada-based Adamson Systems. A wall of speakers will be erected that will enable the sound to reach all the music enthusiasts…even those sitting in the last row.
