The rural police have arrested two youths Avinash Pawar and Santosh Rairikar,both aged 19 early on Sunday morning in connection with the murder of Dhanakawadi-based builder Rajesh Yadav on November 10.

The rural police have arrested two youths Avinash Pawar and Santosh Rairikar,both aged 19 early on Sunday morning in connection with the murder of Dhanakawadi-based builder Rajesh Yadav on November 10. Yadav was murdered on Wednesday when he reportedly went to resolve a dispute over some local men misbehaving with two girls cousins of one of his employees in Ambegaon Pathar. Sub inspector Namdev Kauthale said,We nabbed them around 2 am. Pawar has confessed to have stabbed Yadav. There were 8-10 more of them who,after injuring Yadav,vandalised vehicles and shops in the area. They are yet to be arrested.

Youth kills friend over old dispute,arrested

Mundhwa police on Saturday arrested a 21-year-old man,Amar Bansode alias Pappu,for allegedly murdering his friend,Rambabu Mayavashi,26,over a dispute. The two had a dispute four-five months ago,which led Bansode to kill Mayavashi on Saturday night with a sharp weapon, said senior police inspector Devidas Patil,who is investigating the case. The police said Mayavashi was arrested earlier in a murder case,but was later proved innocent.

Wife kills self,case against techie,mother

The Mundhwa police have booked a software professional,Madhusudan Achalla,and his mother for allegedly harassing his wife and for abetting her suicide. Achallas wife Padma had committed suicide on Thursday morning. The mother of the deceased said in her complaint that both the accused used to harass her daughter over giving birth to a girl,who is now two years old.

Pimpri-Chinchwadgets first eye bank

The first eye bank in Pimpri-Chinchwad was inaugurated at the Aditya Birla Hospital,Chinchwad on Sunday. However,Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal commissioner Asheesh Sharma,who had taken the initiative in setting up the project,was not present at the function.
