1,500 landlines,Net connections out of order
As many as 1,500 landline phones and broadband connections in Prabhat Road,Patrakar Nagar,Janawadi and Gokhale Nagar are out of order following to damage to three main primary cables. The water pipeline laying work by the Pune Municipal Corporation at Vetal Baba Chowk resulted in the damage,the BSNL said. Repair work is being done on one the cables. Services will be restored in 8 to 10 days
PCMC octroi revenue isRs 78 crore,up Rs 23 crore
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has recorded an increase of Rs 23 crore in October octroi earnings compared to last year. The PCMC earned Rs 78 crore in Octroi revenue this October. Octroi posts earned Rs 46 crore,up Rs 16 crore since last year. On company account,the PCMC earned Rs 29 crore this year compared to Rs 23 crore last fiscal,octroi officials said.
Delay in order hampers development: Mayor
A day after the civic body announced that it estimates a 25 per cent budget deficit,Mayor Mohansingh Rajpal has said that delay in releasing work orders hampers the development projects even if the tender process is complete.
