Direct train needed
Travelling to Kerala is becoming increasingly difficult owing to the unavailability of a direct train from Pune daily. One hopes the new rail budget will caters to the demands of the Malayalee population in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad,which have been put forth time and again. Since the new Panvel link is operational, here are some suggestions:
1. Make the Poorna Express (1097) which runs weekly on Saturdays to daily via Panvel which would not only Puneites but also Mumbaikars who will get an additional train to board from Panvel. This would help to run the train to full capacity giving addition al revenue to railways and customer satisfaction.
2. Extend the train up to Thiruvananthapuram which presently runs up to Ernakulam.
If these suggestions are implemented, the Mumbai- Thiruvananthapuram (6331) train which runs weekly (on Mondays) could be diverted via Panvel helping Mumbaikars get an additional train and faster journey via Konkan route. Since no airlines are showing any an interest to fly between Pune and Kochi/Thiruvananthapuram,a daily train will help Keralites to a great extent.

Fleecing customers
Ever since I have shifted to Rahatni area,I have been dealing with a local gas agency. In so many years many consumers have been facing lot of problems.
1. The process starts with booking of gas cylinder with them. First of all, their staff members will not pick-up the phone. And even if they do pick up,the phone they talk rudely to the customers.
2. Their billing amount on the receipt is including delivery charges. No matter on which floor they have to deliver, the delivery boys charge excess money. My home is on the basement, still they grumble and charge extra.
3. If we shell out the exact amount, the delivery boys grumble since they do not get extra income. If you give them excess amount say to the nearest Rs 50 or Rs 100,forget about getting the balance amount.
4. As per the recent directives of the government to all gas companies,a consumer can book only one cylinder in 21 days,no matter how large the family is.
Recently, when I visited their premises to book a cylinder they refused to book saying that four days back I had already taken a cylinder,I was shocked. I came home and collected the passbook and last receipts but it was overall a bad experience .
