Swaramayee Gurukul is celebrating its 10th anniversary and “Sahasra chandra darshan” year of Prabha Atre with a lecture and demonstration. Suhasini Koratkar will present Bhendi Bazar gharaanaa: Paramparaa and Gaayaki on Saturday and Suhas Vyas will give a Hindustani classical vocal recital on Sunday at the Gurukul at 6 pm.

Laugh it Off

Unwind with a few laughs this Saturday,at the Olive Laughathon. From 8 pm onwards,comedians Atul Khatri and Sahil Shah will regale Poona Club members and guests with their brand of humour. Khatri draws humour from his own experiences,making his comedy both personal and observational. Shah,on the other hand,is known for his ready wit and quick thinking on stage.

Discovering the Artist

PAINTER Sachin Kolhatkar hopes to help people bring out their inner artist with his workshop in acrylic painting. “Acrylic can be used to create transparent and opaque effects and gives depth to a painting,” he says. Kolhatkar will host weekend and 10-day workshops at Sneha Anand Society,in Happy Colony,lane 1,Kothrud.
