Car driven by CID officer kills teen

Police have booked inspector S D Khoche,who is with the fingerprint bureau of the CID,for death due to negligence.

Senior inspector Vijaysingh Gaikwad of Dattawadi police station said,“Khoche was reversing his Maruti Alto when Sachin,who was standing behind it,got hit and came under its wheels.”

Sachin was immediately rushed to the hospital,where he was declared dead during treatment.

Gaikwad said,“We have registered a complaint,and after panchnama and the other procedures,Khoche will be arrested. He will be produced in court on Saturday.”

He added,“We have come to know that Sachin’s father had died in an accident about an year ago. He was only child of his mother,who works as a domestic help.”

Sachin’s body was handed over to his relatives after postmortem,police added.
