Persistent acquires Openwaves location business
Persistent Systems,through its US subsidiary has acquired the location business from Openwave Systems Inc. We are excited to acquire Openwaves location business, said Dr Anand Deshpande,chairman,managing director and CEO of Persistent Systems.Persistent has a decade long relationship with Openwave that has culminated in this transaction, he added. Hari Haran,president,Persistent Systems said the company is looking at providing excellent services to Openwaves location customers.
Tata Technologies to market i GET IT solution in India
Tata Technologies has plans to market i GET IT,the online self-paced training solution for engineers,in India. The company expects to grow revenues by over 100 per cent in the financial year 2013. Going by industry trends,over 40 per cent of employee training is conducted using e-learning methods. Dan Miles,vice president,iProducts from Tata Technologies,said,In the US,most Fortune 500 companies already have a corporate learning management system (LMS) and the average spend per employee on training a year is $600-$1,200 (13-16 Training Hours). With more and more of auto majors setting up base in India,we expect the demand for i GET IT to grow at a fast pace.
Indizen 2012 to begin on February 14
Indizen 2012,the 3rd national convention on operational excellence,organised by the Kaizen Institute,will start on February 14. In its third successive year,convention has received encouraging response from all over India. Several delegates from Africa and Middle East have already registered for the event.
