Bribe: bank employee caught red-handed

The Central Bureau of Investigation (Anti Corruption Bureau) laid a trap at Bank of India’s Chakan branch and arrested bank employee in a graft case on Thursday evening.

Accused B A Gade (50) works as a sub staff.

CBI officials said that the complainant approached them with a complaint that Gade asked for money for a cheque clearance.

He wanted to withdraw the Rs 1.75 lakh he got from the government after it acquired his land. The cheque bounced at the first instance after which,Gade demanded Rs 5,000 to clear the cheque and later settled for Rs 4,000. Following this the complainant approached the CBI (ACB).

The ACB laid a trap on Thursday evening and arrested Gade red-handed. The CBI will produce him at a city court on Friday afternoon.
