Brahmin Maha-adhiveshan

The fifth Bahubhashik Brahmin Maha-adhiveshan will be inaugurated in the presence of Jayendra Saraswati,Vidya Nrisinha Bharati and Vishwesh Ramteertha on Saturday. Around five lakh Brahmins from across the state are expected to gather for the convention.

Bharat Ratna Pt Bhimsen Joshi,chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit,general secretary of Bahujan Samaj Party Satish Mishra,chief minister of Goa Digambar Kamat,Sanskrit scholar Kishor Mishra,entrepreneur Padmaja Chitale and famous Marathi poet Mangesh Padgaonkar will be honoured with the Brahmakirti awards.

“The convention is going to take place at Bhoogaon,a village hardly ten kilometres from here. A pendal of 5-lakh sq ft has been built for the convention with 60X30 feet dais,” said Moreshwar Ghaisas,president of the convention. “A huge blood donation camp will be organised where 25,000 people are expected to donate blood in two days,” he said.
