Bhandarkar Lele Trophy: win for Poona Club

Poona Club beat Deccan Gymkhana on the basis of their first innings lead in the Bhandarkar Lele Trophy organised by the Pune District Cricket Association at Deccan Gymkhana Cricket Ground on Thursday.

Deccan won the toss and elected to bat. They put up 348 for the loss of eight wickets and declared. Sachin Aradhye top-scored with 88 runs,which included 10 boundaries and a six. Amey Soman gave him good support with 66 runs. Vikram Bhonsale was the main bowler for Poona Club scalping three crucial wickets while Ajay Chavan picked up two wickets.

In reply,Poona Club managed to overtake their opponents and put up 365 runs before being bowled out. Raviraj Patil was the hero of the day scoring 102 runs,which included 13 boundaries and six sixes. Ajay Chavan remained 80 not out.
