The students of Kalewadi-based Alphonsa High School will be participating in a student exchange programme organised by the British Council. The school was selected under the International School Award programme.
Under this, a school is given international projects and have to exchange information with a school abroad. Alphonsa school students will team up with St Thomas RC College Manchester,UK for the project.
The school had recently organised an exhibition at the school premises on Study of weather and climate change in UK,Russia and Germany.
The chief guest for the function was Tessy Francis,an experienced geography teacher from Jai Hind school,Pimpri. She evaluated the projects and also gave a talk on the Climate change all over the world in the past decade. Charts and power point presentations based on the theme were displayed by the students,said principal Sister Merry in a press release. Fr Benny,Sr Merry,Archana Raymond and Sherin are the school coordinators.
