As the survivors struggle to get on with their lives,Rishabh Agarwal, who had accompanied Rajeev Agarwal to the German Bakery on that fateful day, recounts his harrowing experience.

The ligaments on Rishabh’s knee had to be painfully stitched together by drilling threads into his bones. It took an entire year for him to walk after being wounded in the blast.

Over three years have passed since then. Rishabh,a law graduate,is now a practising advocate in Mumbai. He was there hanging out with his close friend Rajeev Agarwal. Now,being a lawyer himself,he understands the complexities of the judicial system.

“Today,I do feel a sense of closure, but as a lawyer I understand that evidence has to be presented and that the judges and lawyers have put in a lot of hard work to resolve the case.

“The verdict is a positive step and shows that the system is in place. It does bring some solace and hope for the families. But much more needs to be done to ensure that no more terror attacks take place,” said Rishabh.
