Mumbai band Hoodwink Circle on its upcoming debut album and performance in Pune
From practising at torn down ruins to performing live at major clubs,Hoodwink Circle as a band have come a full circle. The Mumbai-based band,will be performing at the Hard Rock Cafe on June 28. Excited about coming back to Pune to thrill the audiences,vocalist Aidan Lewis says,”The last time we played a Beatles tribute in Pune,the audience had amazed us with its energy and encouragement and so we are really looking forward to playing for the crowd.” The five-year-old band constituting vocalist Aidan Lewis,guitarist Sanjeev Aguiar,bassist Ishaan Krishna and drummer Rahul Hariharan,brings to the table a wide spectrum of choice in music,ranging from jazz and funk to progressive rock and metal.
The band plans to release its debut album,which is yet to be titled,by the end of the year. Lewis contends,”This is our first album and it has ten of our best songs talking about the way we perceive ourselves as musicians and the way we have grown in the industry in these last three to four years. The fans enjoy our older numbers and we have incorporated those into the album as well.” Speaking about their upcoming gig in the city,Lewis says,”Many of our family members and friends live in Pune and the Cafe has a great sound system so its an absolute delight to play for the audience there. kMoreover,lets face it,Pune has great weather encouraging lots of people to turn up.”
