61-yr-old woman run over

A 61-year-old woman and her granddaughter-residents of Ganj Peth-was knocked down by a speeding car at on Raja Bahadur Motilal Mill Road on Saturday afternoon. The woman Kauslya Sathe died on the spot while her granddaughter Mayuri Bandu Khandagale (10) escaped with minor injuries.

According to the Bund Garden police,the accident occurred when Kauslya and Mayuri were going to the hospital where Mayuri’s mother Ratna Khandgale was admitted for treatment.

They were crossing the road when a car knocked them down. The car driver fled from the spot. Bund Garden police is investigating the case.
