1st MILIT valedictory function

This was the first valedictory function of Technical Staff Officers Courses of Army,Navy and Air Force post formation of MILIT.

The valedictory function of Technical Staff Officers Course (Army),Naval Technical Staff Course (Navy) and Technical Staff Officers course (Air Force) was held at Military Institute of Technology (MILIT) on Tuesday.

This was the first valedictory function of Technical Staff Officers Courses of Army,Navy and Air Force post formation of MILIT. Lt Gen Ajay Kumar Singh,PVSM ,AVSM ,SM,VSM,ADC,General Officer Commanding In Chief,Southern Command was the chief guest.

The ceremony included presentation of parchments and trophies to passing out courses.

Major Hemant Kumar Singh stood first in TSOC(Army) and was also the recipient of Army Commanders Trophy for Overall Best All Round Student of the Year.

Sub Lieutenant S G Karpoor and Wing Commander T K Gupta stood first in NTSC (Navy) and TSOC (Air Force) respectively. Incentive prizes were given to Lieutenant Colonel Suresh Kallai, Lieutenant Colonel Jacob Kurien,Lieutenant Colonel Gagandeep Singh, Major Anjan Kr Basumatry,Major Karan Chadha,Major Hemant Kumar Singh,Major Abhijeet Mukherjee, Major Rohit Chittoria,Sub Lieutenant SG Karpoor and Wing Commander TK Gupta for attaining 1st,2nd and 3rd positions in various phases of the course. The aim of Technical Staff Officer Course is to train selected officers to hold command and staff appointments in Army,Navy and Air Force and are selected through a competitive examination.
