13,568 forms received on Day 1

Palashikar said though the timing for forms’ acceptance is 11 am-5 pm,all the centres were open till 6.30-6.45 pm on Saturday. According to her,the rush will recede in two-three days as parents and students prefer to submit forms in the initial days.

Hundreds of students and parents also thronged Apte Junior College,the only centre where forms of students from other states and education boards other than SSC are being accepted.

“We accepted around 550 forms today. Though,there was a huge rush,our system of providing tokens to parents worked without glitches. We had set up separate counters for different education boards and streams,” said professor Akash Chavdhar.

Authorities have urged students to carry original school leaving certificates and mark lists while coming to submit forms. The originals will be stamped at the time of form submission,officials said. The forms can be submitted till June 27,including Sunday. Forms can be purchased from Fergusson College and Poona College between 10 am and 4 pm.
