I can’t tell you how depressed I was after hearing the news. I was supposed to meet her next week at the Toronto Film Festival where our film,Cooking with Stella,is going to be screened.

I can’t tell you how depressed I was after hearing the news. I was supposed to meet her next week at the Toronto Film Festival where our film,Cooking with Stella,is going to be screened. We have a common agent and she called me yesterday to tell me that Lisa will not be able to come to the festival but did not give me any reason. I came to know the reason today and I cannot believe it. I’m still praying that somehow the news is wrong. When we were shooting for the film in Delhi,Lisa used to go to the yoga institute very morning and come back and tell everyone on the set how healthy yoga is and push us all to it. It’s terrible that she has to deal with this incurable illness. I’m going to Toronto tomorrow and will try to meet her since she is very dear to me.

I was completely shocked when I read the news. I just hope God gives her and her family the strength to deal with this. I do want to let her know that I think what she is doing is very noble. I would like to do my part in any way possible in being part of the cause that she is trying to spread awareness about.

Lisa is resilient and spiritual. We have been speaking for a while and she seems fulfilled in all that she does. We share a similar quest and I am happy that she has realised so many of her goals. She is always in my thoughts and I pray that she overcomes her illness. I am confident that she will.

It’s a sensitive issue and I don’t understand what I can say that will make anything better. For the little time I interacted with her,I have to say that I knew instantly that she is a wonderful person. I know that she’s being very strong right now. Instead of talking about her,I’m just going to pray for her. She is a very positive person and I feel that she will fight this and definitely be okay.
