Two times lucky?
IF you’re a fan of the Bollywood Bong beauties, then make sure you don’t miss the upcoming film Mirch, which is a collection of short stories. The film revolves around four short stories based on women emancipation and stars Konkona Sen Sharma,Raima Sen and Shahana Goswami. However, what makes the movie special for Raima is that it’s being directed by National Award-winner Vinay Shukla, who also happens to be the director of her debut film Godmother, and is therefore more special to her. One just hopes that this time around Vinay manages to get Raima to act.

Abhay,the cartoonist
LOOKS like Abhay Deol has a lot more talent than we see on the big screen. Director friend Anurag Kashyap has spilt the beans about Abhay’s cartooning talents. Apparently the dimpled actor has a flair for drawing and even helps in the storyboarding process of his films. Kashyap goes on to tell us how Abhay’s talent was of great help during the making of Black Friday where he helped out the director before he started his acting career. He drew the details of the blast sequences on paper, revealed Anurag. Now,that’s what you call useful cartooning around.

Oriental connection
Madhavan seems to getting a lot of oriental fanfare. It began with 13B being screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival. After that,he went on to race past biggies like Kamal Haasan to win the best actor award at the International Tamil Festival Award held in Singapore. He won the award for his Tamil remake of the Marathi flick Dombivili Fast called Evano Oruvan.
