RPI leader Ramdas Athawale on Saturday said the UPA partners, including the Sharad Pawar-led NCP and DMK should withdraw their support to the Manmohan Singh-led government, following the recent fuel price hike.
Skyrocketing prices of essential commodities have made things difficult for the common man. I congratulate (Trinamool Congress chief) Mamata Banerjee, who has threatened to pull out of the UPA government. She should take a decision on it at the earliest, Athawale said.
He said his party was in talks with the Shiv Sena and BJP on the civic polls. We dont want more seats, but we would also not agree to take less seats. We are expecting 30-35 seats to contest. We will get a large chunk from the Shiv Sena.
