Toxic: Tara Sutaria wields a gun as she plays Rebecca in the highly anticipated Yash actioner
The first-look poster of Tara Sutaria was unveiled on Saturday morning, in which she plays Rebecca in Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
Toxic will be releasing on Eid 2026.
Since the announcement that Yash will be collaborating with director Geetu Mohandas, who previously helmed critically acclaimed films like Liar’s Dice and Moothon, on Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, excitement around the project has been running high. The film marks the convergence of two very distinct sensibilities, and anticipation has only intensified in recent weeks as the makers have gradually unveiled the first-look posters of its female leads. Kiara Advani’s first look was released, followed by Huma Qureshi’s, then, three days ago, that of lady superstar Nayanthara. Now, it is actress Tara Sutaria’s turn, with her poster unveiled on Saturday morning.
Tara shared the first look of her character, Rebecca, on Instagram. In the poster, she can be seen pointing a gun in a moody, noirish setup, with dramatic lighting accentuating the intensity of her gaze. The caption she wrote read: “Introducing Tara Sutaria as Rebecca in A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups.”

Compared to the other leads, Tara’s first-look poster stands out for its distinct tone. Each of the female leads’ posters showcased very different personas: Kiara Advani was pictured wide-eyed in a circus setting, Huma Qureshi posed with a black car near what appeared to be a graveyard, and Nayanthara was also seen holding a gun while entering a club.
Beyond her first look, Tara has been making headlines for the past week after her appearance at singer AP Dhillon’s Mumbai concert. She took the stage and performed alongside him. However, news soon emerged online claiming that Tara’s boyfriend, Veer, allegedly felt jealous of her interaction with AP Dhillon, following videos of his reaction going viral on social media.
Addressing the rumours, Tara and Veer spoke out on Instagram, calling the reports “false narratives.” Tara wrote, sharing a video from the concert: “P.S – False narratives, ‘clever editing’ and paid PR campaigns by folks won’t and don’t shake us up! In the end, love and the truth always wins. So the joke’s on the bullies.” AP Dhillon also commented under the same post, writing: “Queen.”
