It’s the year of the Bachchan couple,with almost three films lined up

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s last release Jodhaa Akbar won accolades for her performance. This year too she has a long line-up of releases. Along with husband Abhishek,she recently gave the nod to Excel Entertainment’s new film,Crooked,directed by Abhinav Deo. The film,a thriller,will have them playing lead roles but they are not paired opposite each other. Crooked will take off soon after the completion of the final schedule of Raavan. She will also be acting with Abhishek in the ‘inspired’ version of

Abhimaan,being directed by Rajiv Menon. The untitled project will take off some time later in the year and is in the scripting stages. Aishwarya is currently shooting for Shankar’s Endhiran in Chennai. The film,which has completed one schedule in Peru,is now being shot in Chennai with Rajnikant as co-star. She also recently finished shooting for the third schedule of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan in Kolkata and will shortly begin shooting for the final one.
