Two killed in road accident

Two persons died after the motorcycle they were travelling on rammed into a divider near the NRI Complex stretch of the Palm Beach Road in Navi Mumbai around 8.30 pm on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Aadesh Singh (20) and Divya Surthy (20),both residents of Karave in Nerul.

The NRI police said the duo were heading from Vashi from Nerul when the accident occurred.

“Aadesh was dropping Divya home. He lost control of his motorcycle,” said an officer.Witnesses took Aadesh and Divya to a hospital,where they were pronounced dead on arrival.“Aadesh was not wearing a helmet. Medical tests have revealed that he was not drunk. We have registered an accidental death report,” said the officer.
