Technical snag delays train services

Suburban train services were delayed by two hours on Thursday morning after an overhead wire of a CST bound train broke between Thakurli and Dombivali.

Suburban train services were delayed by two hours on Thursday morning after an overhead wire of a CST bound train broke between Thakurli and Dombivali. Nine trains were cancelled following the incident and a few others were delayed. However,services were restored within two hours after the OHE was repaired. In another incident,two wheels of a light engine derailed at 12.30 pm at Diva station. All the trains between Diva and Kalyan stations were diverted to slow track.

S Mudgerikar,chief public relation officer,CR,said,“Since the first incident occurred in peak hours,CR had to cancel 9 trains. By the evening,trains were running as per the schedule.”
