Stone hurled at running train,constable hurt

Vanita Chandrakant Hazare,a lady traffic police constable,was injured on Tuesday after being hit by a stone thrown at a train between Andheri and Jogeshwari.

Vanita Chandrakant Hazare (23),a lady traffic police constable,was injured on Tuesday after being hit by a stone thrown at a train between Andheri and Jogeshwari.

The train had left Andheri station and was moving towards Jogeshwari station when the incident took place around 5.30 am .

Vanita was standing near the door in first class compartment of the Borivali-bound train when she was hit. She was taken to Bhagwati Hospital and is being treated for minor injuries.

According to Andheri railway police,a case has been registered under Section 152 of Indian Railway Act,against the identified erson.This is the fourth case of stone pelting in this year.
