State to redevelop slums as clusters

The state government wants to redefine slums — even large ones like Dharavi — in zones and blocks and redevelop them as clusters. “The idea is to redevelop clusters rather than one building. The zone and block of slum will be identified and designed by town planners,” said CM Prithviraj Chavan.
