Easycabs,a fleet taxi network,has tied up with a new media company to provide entertainment to commuters in side taxis. The service has been introduced in 40 cabs and will enable commuters listen to songs and surf the internet during their journey.
Carzonerent,the company that has launched Easycabs,has tied up with En Route,a new media company,to provide entertainment services such as fashion and lifestyle (targeting women commuters),and sports and technology. The content partners include Fox History and Entertainment,Red Bull,NewsX,Times Internet,India Today,TechCrunch TV,Who What Wear and Bollywood Masala. Since its a GPRS-enabled service,live news updates will also be available.
On an average,a radio taxi commuter in Mumbai spends around 46 minutes in the cab. With the launch of these services,we aim at creating the ride more engaging and entertaining for our customers,¿ said Sakshi Vij,markerting head,Easycabs. Carzonerent started with Easycabs services in April last year with an initial fleet of 500 cabs.
