The success of the Celebrity Cricket League’s first season has prompted the organisers to make it bigger and better.

The success of the Celebrity Cricket League’s (CCL) first season has prompted the organisers to make it bigger and better. Keeping the momentum,CCL introduced two new teams,Bangla and Malayalam,at an event organised over the weekend in Mumbai. Among those present was Salman Khan,the face of Mumbai Heroes,along with team members Sohail Khan and Suneil Shetty. Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal and filmmaker Priyadarshan’s wife,Lissy Priyadarshan,were announced as the owners of the Malayalam cricket team. Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor is the owner of the Bangla cricket team. CCL also announced the venues for the league’s second season — Bengaluru,Chennai,Hyderabad,Kolkata,Kochi,Dubai,Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The matches will be held from January 27 to February 19,2012.
