Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday said that the Shiv Sena is the seniormost ally of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. “Our association goes a long way. Our alliance is ideological and emotional, strengthening the bond between the two parties,” said Shinde at an NDA meeting in Delhi.

Shinde greeted PM Modi along with leaders from Tamil Nadu and Nagaland. He was received by Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra and BJP leader Vinod Tawde.

Expressing faith in PM Modi’s leadership, Shinde said the 2024 polls will break records with Modi assuming power again. “The NDA will get a majority once more. Modiji has strengthened the economy and made India respected worldwide. The more the opposition alleges, the stronger the NDA will become,” he added.

Shinde also said the NDA in Maharashtra was bolstered by Ajit Pawar and NCP joining. “The situation in Maharashtra has changed since then. We will sweep Maharashtra. We enjoy a 210-strong majority and are not worried,” he stated.

The NDA meeting in Delhi saw 38 parties confirm their presence as preparations begin for the 2024 general elections.
