Girl Talk

After Aamir Khan’s show Satyamev Jayate voiced concern about female foeticide in India, actors Ajay Devgn and Kajol have taken up the cause. The two, also brand ambassadors for Save the Girl Child campaign for the Government of India, are producing a three-minute short film on the subject. Getting Graphic

Encouraged by the response to graphic novels based on Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 and Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod, filmmaker Prakash Jha has decided to opt for this medium for his

upcoming film,Chakravyuh. The film uses the Naxal issue as a backdrop

and Jha feels that a graphic novel will help him communicate with the youth as a potential audience for the movie. With an animation company signed

up for the project, the graphic novel

is already underway and will be launched a month before the film’s

theatrical release.
