New Horizon goes the E way
Just as energy is the basis of life itself,and ideas the source of innovation,so is innovation the vital spark of all human change,improvement and progress. New Horizon Public School,Airoli and Panvel have always strived for excellence in the field of Education. True to the motto Education to Excel the schools have progressed in leaps and bounds in every field,be it curricular or co curricular activities. Environment week,Health and Hygiene week,Drug abuse day,informative exhibitions,displays of the fine arts etc. are regular features of the school. Recently the students put up street plays that addressed social issues like female infanticide,dowry,corruption etc. In our endeavour to provide the best of opportunities to our children,the E bulletin will be a monthly venture this year. Each grade will be given the responsibility of designing,editing the entire months bulletin with the help of their teachers.We believe in going green and hence this effort will be paperless,said Ms. Sujata Menon,Regional Director.
SSC: Sou.Laxmibai Eng Medium School scores 100%
Sou.Laxmibai English Medium School,Mulund -E has secured 100 per cent result in the SSC results. Seventeen students have secured 90 per cent and above. Sanika Deshpande of the school has secured 97.82% in the sports quota,topping the school.
Siddharth Shirolkar and Divya Iyer has stood 1st as per merit without sports quota securing 95.64%.
Sunetra Bhalerao secured 95.09% – Stood 3rd.
This school is the only school this year to secure 100% result in Mulund – East locality.

The Inter-house competition trophy was handed over on July 9 at a ceremony conducted in the school hall. Yellow house was the winner,they snatched the trophy from last year’s winners Orange house by a close margin of 27 points. To create healthy competitive spirit,the point system is based on different aspects like punctuality,discipline etc,where students benefit with positive & negative points monitored by House Captain teachers& Captain students. There is a special committee appointed which throughout the academic year plans out 5 to 6 inter house competitions. In all these competitions students actively participate,and give their best. Chairman Sylvester D’souza strongly feels that through these Inter house competitions,every student strives to discipline himself,so that what may through interactive Inter house efforts,they put their best foot forward to be on the winner’s podium.
