The Shiv Sena UBT is likely to see yet another round of defections. While the news of a prominent Mumbai-based MLA has been doing the rounds after the recent largesse showed to him by the government in an ongoing case against him, the other notable defector is from Konkan region who is aspiring to get a ticket for Lok Sabha polls. The MLA had expressed that he should have been granted a ministerial berth during the MVA government or at least given the Sena leader’s position when it came in the opposition.
Low On Enthusiasm
An audio clip of a BJP minister has gone viral where he is requesting workers to ensure the victory of his daughter if given a ticket. He even tells the workers to decide the course of action for assembly elections, based on Lok Sabha poll results. At a time when the BJP leadership is claiming victory in 400 seats, the minister does not sound too enthusiastic about the prospects.
Political Ambitions
A senior officer from the state cooperation department has received special attention from a top BJP leader. So much that the officer, despite being due for a transfer, is not moving out of Mumbai. Apart from that officer’s help to another BJP leader in cooperative bank-related case, which brought him closer to the BJP, he is also said to be nurturing political ambitions from Nashik district after his retirement in a few months.
