Three unidentified assailants robbed an oil company employee and killed his colleague at Tunga Village,Saki Naka. The Saki Naka police have registered a case of robbery and murder and are on the lookout for the accused.

Jalil Khan (22) left his office around midnight on Saturday to meet a relative at Tunga Village. The three accused intercepted him on his way and robbed him of Rs 1,600 at knifepoint. According to Khan’s statement to the police,he returned to his office and informed his colleague Rajdev Ramcharan Gautam (30) about the incident. An enraged Gautam demanded to return to the spot and ‘set things right.’

“Khan and Gautam headed towards the spot where the robbery took place. They spotted the trio sitting at the Uday Nagar hutment in Saki Naka. Gautam demanded the money back. The accused reportedly overpowered him and assaulted him with a dagger,” said a police official.

“Khan rushed Gautam to the Rajawadi Hospital with the help of locals,where he was declared dead before admission,” said the official.

The police said that both Gautam and Khan were working in the company for the past four years and used to sleep in the office at night. Gautam hailed from Uttar Pradesh. The police said they have got the sketches of the accused done.
