Man jumps to death

A 33-year-old bank employee allegedly jumped to death from the 8th floor of the Oberoi Woods tower at Goregaon east on Monday evening.

The deceased,identified as Vishal Gambhir,was working for a private bank and had been staying in an accommodation provided by the bank.

According to the police,the incident occurred at 7 pm on Monday. Gambhir,who hails from Delhi,had come to the city for work.

Senior police inspector Lakshman Tompe said Gambhir,who returned from work at 3 pm,jumped off the building after receiving a call from his office at 6.15 pm. We have not found any note,so we cannot confirm the reason behind the suicide. Gambhir stayed alone in the city, said Tompe.
