Jaipur-Mumbai Train Killings: RPF constable forced woman in burqa to say ‘Jai Mata Di’ at gunpoint, finds probe
As Chaudhary made his way through the coaches, he allegedly targeted the burqa-clad woman passenger in B-3.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) Constable Chetansinh Chaudhary, 33, who allegedly gunned down four persons on board the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express on July 31, is also alleged to have threatened a burqa-clad woman passenger and forced her to say “Jai Mata Di” at gunpoint, according to investigations.
Police sources said the Government Railway Police (GRP), Borivali, which is investigating the case, identified the woman and recorded her statement. She has been made a key witness. The entire episode was also captured by CCTV cameras in the train, said sources.
Chaudhary, who allegedly killed his senior, Assistant Sub-Inspector Tikaram Meena, and three passengers — Abdul Kadar Mohamed Hussain Bhanpurawala, Syed Saifuddin and Asgar Abbas Sheikh — is currently in judicial custody.
Meena was the first to be killed, in coach B-5; Bhanpurawala was shot next, also in B-5; Saifuddin, who was travelling in B2, was taken to the pantry car where he was killed; and Sheikh was shot last, in S-6.
As Chaudhary made his way through the coaches, he allegedly targeted the burqa-clad woman passenger in B-3. In her statement, the woman is learnt to have told investigators that he pointed his gun at her and told her to say “Jai Mata Di”. When she did that, he allegedly told her to say it louder.
The woman then reportedly pushed his gun away and asked him, “who are you”, following which Chaudhary threatened to kill her if she touched his weapon, said police sources.
In purported video clips from the train, Chaudhary, seen standing next to a body, is heard saying: “…Pakistan se operate hue ye, aur media yehi coverage dikha rahi hai, unko sab pata chal raha hai ye kya kar rahe hain… Agar vote dena hai, agar Hindustan mein rehna hai to mai kehta hoon Modi aur Yogi, ye do hain.” Chaudhary’s voice sample was found to match the voice in the video clips.
Based on these clips, and accounts of passengers in the train, Chaudhary has also been booked under IPC Section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence), besides 302 (murder), 363 (kidnapping), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), and relevant sections of the Arms Act and Railways Act.
