Decomposed body of newborn girl found in Thane

Thane:The decomposed body of a newborn girl was found dumped in a drain here on Saturday night. Police said on Sunday that they received an anonymous call informing about the body lying in a drain near Thane Central jail. They recovered the highly decomposed body from the drain,assistant police inspector A H Bhosale said,adding that it was sent to the Thane Civil hospital for postmortem. A search is on for the baby’s parents.

Women lawyers told to follow dress code

Thane:The Thane district court has warned the women advocates of legal action if they fail to follow the dress code. A notification issued by district Principal Judge K K Sonawane referred to the provisions of the civil manual which specifies dress code for women lawyers.
