Decide on Dawood brother’s passport in 2 weeks: HC to Centre
The Bombay High Court on Friday asked the Ministry of External Affairs to take a decision on the application of Iqbal Kaskar,younger brother of gangster Dawood Ibrahim,for a new passport within two weeks. Authorities had denied him a fresh passport. Kaskar had been deported from Dubai in 2003 and his passport was impounded.

Bomb hoax: caller arrested in Thane
The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Friday arrested a person for allegedly making a hoax call to the police control room on Wednesday saying that five railway stations will be blown up in the city. Police said the accused,Shakeel Mohammed Memon,was nabbed from Mumbra in Thane.

Class XII student commits suicide
A class XII student of Somaiya College,Vidyavihar,hanged himself at his Chembur residence on Thursday. “The victim,Vineet More,stayed with his parents at the RBI quarters. He refused to go out with his parents on their wedding anniversary on Thursday. On returning,they found him hanging,partially conscious. He died later,” said inspector Raut of Chembur police.

He left behind a suicide note,saying that he was lonely.
