ISCE and ISC results: Two from Bombay Scottish school score a perfect 100 in Class 12

Whereas among high scorers in ICSE (Class 10) include Chitransh Garg from Jamnabai Narsee School in Vile Parle and Anmol Pai from Sulochanadevi Singhania School in Thane.Two students from the city have scored a perfect 100 percent in Indian School Certificate (ISC–Class 12) exam. Both of them–Ishmit Kaur and Aarav Bardhan–are from Bombay Scottish School in Mahim.

Even as the council has stopped issuing merit lists since last year, perfect scorers are definitely among city’s toppers for ISC. Whereas among high scorers in ICSE (Class 10) include Chitransh Garg from Jamnabai Narsee School in Vile Parle and Anmol Pai from Sulochanadevi Singhania School in Thane.
In Maharashtra, a total of 29,282 students appeared for the ICSE exam including 15,721 boys and 13,561 girls. With only 28 students failing the exam, Maharashtra has recorded a pass percentage of 99.90% in ICSE with girls having a pass percentage of 99.92 doing better than boys with pass percentage of 99.89.
Whereas for ISC, a total of 3,723 students appeared for the exam including 1,718 boys and 2,005 girls. Even as the number of girls appearing for ISC is higher than boys, with a pass percentage of 99.95, girls have done better than boys who have recorded pass percentage of 99.65.
Principal of Bombay Scottish, Sunita George, said, “Students have done really well despite the increase in the number of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) which evaluate students on application-based knowledge and can be tricky sometimes with options of answers which are very close to each other.” George also pointed out that the Council’s decision to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics as formal subjects for ISC has helped students score well. “AI is certainly a scoring subject which helps students in their overall score. Additionally, for students interested to pursue STEM courses for higher education, this early exposure is definitely a good start,” said George.
Principal of Cathedral and John Connon, Sonal Parmar, said, “I consider the range of subject choices offered to students at the ISC level one of the Council’s greatest strengths. Depending on their aptitude and requirements, students can opt for clear streams without being limited by those categories as they also have the freedom to mix subjects across streams.”
