HC extends Parab’s interim protection in ED case

THE BOMBAY High Court on Monday extended until Thursday the interim protection granted to Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Anil Parab in connection with a writ petition filed by him seeking quashing of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) case, linked to the Sai Resort in Dapoli, against him.

Last week, HC granted Parab protection from coercive action till March 20. Due to the unavailability of the bench headed by Justice Revati Mohite Dere, which was to hear the plea on Monday, the case was mentioned before another bench. Additional solicitor general Anil Singh submitted before the bench that the oral assurance given in the previous hearing can continue till March 23.
