No solemn and sober eighth birthday for Busaba,SoBo’s pan-Asian restaurant which flamboyantly celebrated the big eight in a whirl of orange martinis,Burmese Kaukswe (a signature Busaba dish) and a heady concoction of thumping house and soothing jazz. Upping the glitter quotient of the evening were Anju Taraporvala in a tribal print dress,designer Abu Jani,that fabulous fashion lens-man Farrokh Chothia,models Upen Patel and Sheetal Mallar and filmmaker Homi Adajania. Putting in a fashionably late appearance was Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. But better late than never,right?

Showstopper Owner Nikhil Chib had the gracious host act down to a fine art and who needed flaming shots when wife Natasha blazed in a fiery yellow and orange number?
