The police have seized firearms from two different areas of the city. Around 10.30 pm on Friday, the Khar police received information that a 35-year-old man was in possession of a pistol and live ammunition.
The police arrested the accused outside High Spirits Club in Khar (East) and registered an FIR against him for illegal possession of a live firearm with intent to sell it. The accused already has a case registered against him. The police are now trying to find who his customer was.

In another incident, the DB Marg police seized a country-made revolver, along with live ammunition worth Rs 11,000, from a 34-year-old man on Saturday. The accused was nabbed outside Kalpana Restaurant, near Nagpada. The police have registered an FIR for the possession of a firearm without a license.
